Hi - a question that possibly has been solved by someone in the group.
In the IPMI design is a facility to forward IPMI messages and replies to
a satellite controller using IPMB interface, which by and large is I2C.
We have an interest in accessign an IPMI target via ethernet LAN, and
relaying the IPMI message & replies to a satellite which is on a
secondary ethernet LAN. Does such a model exist?

Hi Pat,

what you are looking for needs to be implemented by the BMC at first.
For this purpose, the HPM.2 specification defines "LAN bridging".

Do you know if your BMC does support HPM.2?

Regards
Daniel
